Along with first touch and private vows probably getting ready and talking to family.

3. Best memory of the day?
Soul train line

4. Wedding Theme - Color?
Maroon and Champagne Gold with hits of emerald green and rose

5. Why did you choose the dress you picked?
It stood out and shaped my body. It was the material I was looking for but didn’t quite know how to pick it.

6. A few sentences about your wedding?
Though there were a few hiccups, our wedding day was perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing. It was a beautiful set up and ceremony. Bella Collina was an excellent venue and day of coordinator. My Husband and I truly said it was a dream come true! Loved everything about our day.

7. How did you and your groom meet?
We matched on Hinge.

8. How did your groom propose?
Alex gathered intimate family around and proposed in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia at Ford's Landing Park featuring a background of the Potomac and The National Harbor.

9. Advice to bride planning her wedding?
Your wedding day will be about you and your spouse, so do not worry about trying to please the guest 100%. It will work out how you want it, and just remember to enjoy the day. Don’t let any small hiccups stress you out.

10. What was your favorite part/thing/experience about shopping with Serendipity?
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Serendipity Bridal & Events!

From the moment I walked in with my ladies, the staff-specifically Marissa made me feel so welcomed and comfortable. She asked what I liked and what price range I wanted to stay within, then gave us pins to mark dresses we thought would look good on me. It was such a fun and creative way to figure out what styles I liked! After trying on our picks, Marissa made her own suggestions, and the dress she chose for me ended up being THE ONE! I said YES TO THE DRESS at Serendipity!

Additionally, the shop itself is also so unique; it is a bridal boutique in a beautifully converted old bank. It was so unexpected when I walked in and saw how it was reconstructed, but it was so cool. They also had a few pictures of my fiancé and I up on the screen while walking in and trying on dresses and they gave me a take home photo. I thought that was a nice thing.

What makes it even sweeter is that the only reason I initially chose Serendipity was because my fiancé loves the movie Serendipity, and we watched it together when we first started dating. At the time, I didn’t know anything about La Plata, but now we live nearby, I work in the county, and this area has become such a meaningful part of our lives. Looking back, I truly feel like finding this shop was a blessing from God.

I would honestly recommend Serendipity Bridal & Events to every bride-to-be! Thank you, Marissa, Janice, et al., for making such an important part of my wedding journey so fun, personal, and unforgettable!”
