QUESTIONS:

Q: Special/favorite moment of your day?

A: Seeing my (now) husband before the ceremony. We chose to do a "first look" and have photographs taken before our ceremony. They are our favorite photos from the day and helped lessen our nerves.

Q: Favorite Moment of Day?

A: Watching my husband belt out 80's tunes at the reception with his childhood friends

Q: Best memory of day?

A: Our priest had us write letters about what we loved about each other to give to him before the wedding. Although we did not know it at the time, on our wedding day, he read some parts of our letters during the the ceremony. It was an unexpected but lovely moment.

Q: Wedding Theme

A: Dark green, burgundy, blush

Q: Why you chose the dress you picked?

A: I wanted something with a lot of beading and applique/lace that still looked very clean with classic long lines. I saw my dress online and fell in love with it instantly.

Q: A few sentences about your wedding?

A: Our wedding was at the Dahlgren Chapel where my husband proposed. Our reception was at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in DC.. we had a live wedding painter paint our first dance on canvas there.

Q: How did you and your groom meet?

A: We met at the hospital where we both worked at the time

Q: How did your groom propose?

A: He proposed outside of the Dahlgren Chapel on the Georgetown University campus on a rainy December evening.

Q: Advice to bride planning her wedding

A: Hire a wedding planner if you can afford it within your budget. Mine was a lifesaver, especially when the World Series parade fell on the same day as our wedding and right down the street from our reception. It resulted in a ton of last minute changes to our plan/itinerary/transportation and I would not have been able to manage it alone. Otherwise-- use review sites like weddingwire and always look at vendor pictures on social media. Accept that some things might go wrong on the day of the wedding and that is okay!

Q: What favorite part/thing/experience about shopping with Serendipity?

A: Janice, you went above and beyond to help me find the dress I wanted, which included tracking down a difficult-to-find gown to have shipped as a loaner to you which no other shop was even willing to try to do for me. I could not have been happier with this gown or Serendipity. :)
