Q: Special/favorite moment of your day?

A: My favorite moment was standing up at the alter. I loved looking at my soon to be husband, glancing at the audience and listing to my uncle/ officiant (Josh Joson) perform our ceremony.

Q: Favorite Moment of Day?

A: I enjoyed when we cut our cake. We had a song play that cued Shawn and I that is was cake cutting time and then we cut our cake which I absolutely love how it turned out, design and taste were perfect (The Artistic Whisk). After we cut the cake Shawn addressed our guests and thanked our parents and it was really sweet.

Q: Wedding Theme

A: Color: Muted Water colors in sage green, mint green, pale blue and slate blue. We also had Navy throughout. Our vibe was Tropical/Classic/Elegant.

Q: Why you chose the dress you picked?

A: I chose the dress I picked because I felt like it made me look amazing and accentuated all the right places. I loved the lace and the subtle sparkle it had. I loved the underneath rum/champagne color and I thought the neckline was unique.

Q: A few sentences about your wedding?

A: It was magical and perfect. The weather was not as anticipated, 66 and cloudy in Florida, the coldest it has been in 100 years for that time of year. It actually turned out to be a blessing. Our photos turned out amazing and we had no shadows. The men were in tuxes and suits so they were at a comfortable temperature and no one was sweating. There was also a pool behind our ceremony that if it was a nice day probably would have been very loud and distracting. It created a really nice vibe for our day.

Q: How did you and your groom meet?

A: We met at work in 2015. We both work as government contractors in IT and caught each other’s eye around the office. Shawn eventually asked me to happy hour one day in the summer and we hit it off instantly.

Q: How did your groom propose?

A: Shawn proposed at the place we had our first date, The Pier in Solomons, where it all began. He reserved the top of the restaurant and had all of our family and friends waiting for me to walk up stairs where he was waiting to pop the question. It was a beautiful summer day and we partied the night away.

Q: Advice to bride planning her wedding:

A: Be organized, make decisions efficiently, know that everything you put in you will get out, and enjoy the moment because it goes by very quickly.

What favorite part/thing/experience about shopping with Serendipity? I enjoyed the beautiful shop and the people. I enjoyed spending my time in their shop and the people were always helpful and kind. They also had a wonderful selection of gowns.
