Q: Special/favorite moment of your day?

A: Moments before walking down the aisle, my bridesmaids each laid their hands on me and prayed the most beautiful prayer over my marriage. It was one of the best moments to have my best friends and moms surrounding me before the most amazing night!

Q: Favorite Moment of Day?

A: Alex had a custom suit made, but he was just as secretive with his suit as I was with my gown! I was not allowed to see it or ask any questions. Following the ceremony, he finally revealed the big secret. The entire lining of his suit was made up of letters that I had written Alex over the years that I had no idea he was saving. It was so sweet, thoughtful and surprising!

Q: Best memory of day?

A: Following our reception, our DJ asked everyone to clear the ballroom and Alex and I had one final dance, with just the two of us in the room. It was such a sweet moment to take in all of the day’s events before our fun exit!!

Q: Wedding Theme – Color

A: Burgundy, Evergreen, White and Gold

Q: Why you chose the dress you picked?

A: I loved the winter wedding feel that the sleeves gave to my dress. It had the timeless lace that I love and a massive skirt that floated wherever I walked.

Q: A few sentences about your wedding?

A: Our wedding was everything I could have asked for and more! Each and every one of our vendors worked so hard to make sure the evenings events went by seamlessly, and they absolutely did! Our guests kept the party going all night and Alex and I had the best time! A few of our favorite personal touches were: doggy treat favors “Fur our friends who couldn’t make it to the Pawty,” a gourmet s’mores bar and late night Chick-fil-A for our guests to grab on the way out the door! I loved seeing all of our ideas come to life!

Q: How did you and your groom meet?

A: We met in the fall of 2016 while we were both working at Victoria Secret. We were friends while working there, but never anything more. Months after we had both stopped working there I “randomly” sent him a snapchat. (I knew what I was doing *wink wink*) We started talking, he brought me a Wendy’s Frosty and the rest is history!

Q: How did your groom propose?

A: Alex and I, my family and a few of our friends went to a Brunch Festival in DC last February. I planned the whole trip, so I knew *for sure* that he was not going to propose to me that weekend. The day was going pretty normal until the DJ played the song "This Is It" by Scotty McCreery and Alex asked me to dance. In the middle of the song he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the most beautiful moment that I will always cherish.

Q: Advice to bride planning her wedding.

A: Don’t sweat the small stuff and get a planner or day of coordinator if you can! I am sure things went wrong during our day, but I never heard about it. Having someone there to help everything run smoothly was such a blessing!

Q: What favorite part/thing/experience about shopping with Serendipity?

A: I had a wedding dress fiasco about 6 weeks before our wedding and needed a new dress! The ladies at Serendipity fit me in their schedule, helped me find the perfect dress, had it delivered two weeks later and altered it perfectly in time for my wedding day. I cannot say enough about the service I was given at Serendipity and how these ladies treated every time I came into their shop like it was my wedding day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
