1. Special/favorite moment of your day?
One of the most special moments of the day was when my husband and twin sister (maid of honor) surprised me at our reception with a dance that they rehearsed for months without me knowing. The dance routine they put together incorporated some songs and dance moves from our childhood and included a slow part dedicated to our mother who passed away when we were 14. It was the best surprise ever!

2. Best memory of the day?
The best memory I have from our wedding day was when Leor and I read our vows to each other and said I do at plaza La Rogativa, one of the most beautiful spots in Old San Juan that overlooks the ocean and gorgeous city. We both got emotional reading our vows to each other and it made me so happy to express our love for each other in front of our closest friends and family.

Modern and Romantic - Pink, blush, and white!

4. Why did you choose the dress you picked?
The moment I tried on my Maggie Sottero Ortenia dress, I knew she was the one! It fit me like a glove, included the most beautiful floral and lace details, and was perfect for our wedding location! The fabric was comfortable and the top layer of the dress included a beautiful sparkly finish. The gorgeous floral pattern and ivory over blush color matched the style of our wedding perfectly and made me feel like a princess!

6. A few sentences about your wedding?
Our wedding was on Valentine’s Day in the beautiful and historical Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, where so many of our friends and family traveled to for our destination wedding and were able to make a fun vacation out of it. Our wedding day included a beautiful cocktail hour with yummy mojitos and spicy margaritas, a reception in Hotel El Convento’s beautiful ballroom, a Puerto Rican buffet, and a reception and after party that had everyone dancing and having a ton of fun late into the night!

7. How did you and your groom meet?
Leor and I met at University of Maryland but did not start dating until a close friend of ours set us up a few years after college when we both were living in DC / Arlington. On Memorial Day weekend in 2019 when we both were on vacation in Dewey Beach, Leor asked for my number and the rest is history.

8. How did your groom propose?
Leor proposed to me in the most special way I could have ever imagined. On May 26, 2023 - my late mother’s birthday, he proposed to me in Zion National Park on a mountain top with one of the best views in the park. Not only was the entire trip a surprise, but he surprised me with the most perfect ring that was designed after my mother’s ring. His proposal absolutely blindsided me and was the most meaningful thing anyone has ever done for me.

9. Advice to bride planning her wedding.
My advice to future brides is to really enjoy the wedding planning process as much as you can! It is so easy to get overwhelmed making all the decisions - but it’s important to remember the big picture and that at the end of the day, the day is all about celebrating your love and happiness!

10. What was your favorite part/thing/experience about shopping with Serendipity?
My favorite part about shopping at Serendipity was the personalized experience I received from the moment I walked through the door! The entire team at Serendipity took the time to really understand what I was looking for in my dream dress, helped me find dresses that fit the style I was going for, and also picked out options that were slightly outside of my comfort zone which helped me be confident in my decision. The entire process of finding my dress, buying it, getting alterations, and doing my final fitting were all so organized and seamless, and I felt supported and comfortable throughout the entire process!
