Special/favorite moment of your day?
Morning of portraits/reveal with bridal party, special keepsake gifts with parents, and handwritten letters to parents given morning of!

Favorite Moment of Day?
Private vows and prayer right before walking down the aisle just the two of us, and saying our vows during the Rite of Marriage in the sacred mass.

Best memory of the day?
There’s too many to list, but listening to our best man, maid of honor and my husband’s father give a blessings speech at the beginning of the reception.

Wedding Theme - Color

Why did you choose the dress you picked?
I knew I wanted a dress that showed off my figure, was worthy in the presence of God and one that was timeless and elegant that I could eventually pass on to my own daughter someday!

A few sentences about your wedding?
While planning our wedding we wanted a lot of intimate and special moments that were sacred to us and God. We also wanted many memories to continue to pass on and share with our future family. We’re so thankful that our marriage is centered around God and that grace, faith and love continues to guide us.

How did you and your groom meet?

We met on a dating app almost four years ago and our first date was at the Olde Town Pub in Leonardtown, MD. We were never separated after that first date and are now married!

How did your groom propose?

He proposed to me right near our favorite restaurant, La Vela in Solomon’s Island, MD. When I turned around and saw him down on his knee holding my ring, I thought at first he had found it on the ground and was getting up, I said “what are you doing?”. He didn’t stand up, instead frozen on one knee, I then realized he was proposing! Iam so eternally grateful and thankful that God made him for me every day and it is a story we will laugh about for the rest of our lives.

Advice to bride planning her wedding.

As a true DIY and small budget bride, get organized early, ask for help and take everything in from the rehearsal dinner to the last dance, it all goes so fast the day of!

What was your favorite part/thing/experience about shopping with Serendipity?

I had no expectation of “the dress”, so finding it was amazing! Jessica said to me the first time I was looking in the mirror with the dress on, “Picture yourself walking down the aisle at the church, is this how you want to feel?” I looked at the mirror and imagined both doors opening and me starting to walk down the aisle with my dad, I immediately started crying, that was my favorite moment!
