SWEETHEART

A sweetheart neckline looks like the top of a heart. Wedding gowns that feature a sweetheart neckline are usually sleeveless, but they can also be worn with sheer fabric that goes beyond the sweetheart outline.

This type of neckline looks great on women will fuller breasts because it accentuates their cleavage.

OFF-THE-SHOULDER

This neckline is exactly as the name suggests – off-the-shoulder. An off-the-shoulder neckline sits just below the shoulders to expose your shoulders and collarbone. This style looks flattering on almost every body type, however, if you have fuller arms and feel uncomfortable with your shoulders exposed, this may not be the style for you.

Portrait

A portrait neckline is very similar to an off-the-shoulder style. Instead of cutting straight across and falling just below your shoulders, this neckline lands about halfway up your shoulder and scoops across your chest. If you have fuller arms, but you still want the elegance of a slightly off-the-shoulder look, a portrait neckline is an excellent option.

HALTER/HIGH NECK

If you’re tall or have broad shoulders, a halter neckline, or a dress with a high neck, might be something for you to consider. Wedding gowns with a halter neckline feature straps that go up your chest and around the back of your neck. High neck wedding gowns have deep arm holes and a neckline that cuts across the base of your throat.

SCOOP

Scoop necks look flattering on everyone. The scoop of the neckline goes from one shoulder to the other and can be a soft, elegant scoop, or plunging and dramatic. This neckline will often continue onto the back of the dress.

V-NECK

Another popular wedding gown neckline is the v-neck. A v-neck looks exactly like a “V,” hence the name. The point of the “V” dips down and widens at the neck, making this a popular choice for women with a medium-sized bust.

Choosing your perfect wedding gown may be overwhelming, especially since these are only a few of the neckline styles available.
